The Nanoident company aims to build what it claims would be the first factory to be organic semiconductor sensors. This Austrian company manufactures photo detectors with polymer-based technology and has announced that it will invest a significant sum of money in its new factory that will be capable of manufacturing 100,000 square meters of water surface - twice the output of current silicon factories.
The particular design of the new Nanoident factory will allow the delivery of sensors, even in the case of experiencing very sharp growth in demand. In addition, the factory will be used by Nanoident to manufacture a wider range of applications, from those related to technology and security and also medical sciences.
